SUMMARY:AB₁₂₃C: Distortion-Entangled Bodies in the Al-gorithmic Age
DESCRIPTION:Zhihao Yao, Hanxuan Li, Shiqing Lyu, Xuezhu Wang, Yao Lu, Beit
uo Liu, Xiwen Yao, and Haipeng Mi (Tsinghua University)\n\nThis paper pres
ents the robotic installation AB₁₂₃C, an information evolution system comp
osed of five interacting robotic agents. Rather than preserving informatio
nal fidelity, the system stages distortion as a structural principle—a gen
erative condition through which information acquires form. As descriptive
content circulates across a chain of machines, it undergoes semantic drift
, structural fragmentation, and emergent recomposition. These transformati
ons do not reflect malfunction, but express the entangled ontology of medi
ated systems. By integrating algorithmic indeterminacy, material reconfigu
ration, and environmental perturbation, the installation visualizes how me
aning arises through iterative misalignment. Within this machinic ecology,
truth is not preserved—it is enacted, shaped through continuous entanglem
ent, differential deferral, and distributed agency.\n\nRegistration Catego
