Tomohiro Inoue

Biography
Tomohiro Inoue is a Kyoto-based digital fabrication specialist and educator with a background in architecture. He focuses on bridging advanced fabrication technologies with project-based learning and collaborative design practices.
After receiving his Master’s degree in Architecture from Toyohashi University of Technology in 2012, he worked at Noise Architects, gaining experience in architectural practice. Since 2014, he has managed the Design Factory at the KYOTO Design Lab, Kyoto Institute of Technology, where he promotes PBL and provides technical leadership across diverse research and creative projects. His expertise spans ceramic 3D printing, algorithmic design, and experimental prototyping, often integrating computational workflows with material exploration.
Inoue is also an active member of FabLab Kitakagaya in Osaka, supporting community makers, artists, and researchers. Through his dual roles in academia and grassroots fabrication networks, he advances new forms of collaborative creation that connect education, research, and civic engagement.
