Chang Shu

Biography
Chang Shu is a senior research scientist at the National Research Council of Canada. He is also an adjunct research professor at the School of Computer Science, Carleton University, Canada. His work has been focused on developing geometric, statistical and machine learning techniques for understanding the shape and motion variations in human and other biological forms. The results of this research have been applied to product design, medical research, and security applications. He received his PhD in computer science from Queen Mary College, University of London, UK, in 1992, and his BSc from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 1985.
