Charles is a professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), teaching at the Digital Metropolis Institute (IMD). He has dedicated his career to the research of video games, intelligence, gamification and education and artificial intelligence. He holds a PhD in Informatics from the Sorbonne Université (then Université Pierre et Marie Curie).
