Kumiko Kushiyama is a Japanese media artist and researcher. She is a pioneer in the field of media art, creating video art since the 1980s and interactive art since the 1990s. In the 2000s, She began to focus on the sense of touch in addition to the sense of sight, creating works such as visuo-haptic displays that interactively change temperature and other tactile sensations. In recent years, She has been working on accessible expressions and activities that cross welfare, engineering, and design.
