He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Electronics Engineering from the University of Tokyo in 1993, 1995, and 1998. He began his career as a research associate at Kanazawa University in 1998, then served as assistant professor at Future University Hakodate (2000) and Kanazawa University (2004). Since 2022, he has been a Professor at the School of Transdisciplinary Science for Innovation, Kanazawa University. His research interests include electronic systems, particularly VLSI, for human–machine interaction and human interfaces. He is a member of IEICE, IPSJ, and ITE Japan.
