Biography
Na Xing is a cultural producer and ethnomusicology researcher whose work bridges traditional craftsmanship and contemporary media. She holds a B.A. in Music Humanities from the University of California, San Diego, and an M.A. in Communication from Johns Hopkins University. Drawing on her background in cultural studies and media strategy, Xing explores how folk traditions and intangible cultural heritage can find new resonance in today’s global artistic landscape.
She collaborates with artists across diverse disciplines—music, new media, and visual art—contributing to concept development, cultural research, and project planning for works that merge sound, technology, and traditional aesthetics. Her creative practice focuses on reinterpreting world folk music and Chinese heritage arts through modern interdisciplinary contexts, fostering cross-cultural dialogue between ancient craftsmanship and digital creation.
