Alyson is a professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), teaching at the Digital Metropolis Institute (IMD). He has dedicated his career to the research of bioinformatics, serious games and simulations. He holds a PhD in bioinformatics from the Digital Metropolis Institute with a split-site period at the Institut für Wissensmedien em Tübingen and is also the leading coordinator of the Advanced Knowledge Center of Immersive Technologies at the Digital Metropolis Institute partner lab (AKCIT-IMD).
