Masahiko Inami

Biography
Professor Inami earned his Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Engineering. He subsequently served at the University of Electro-Communications and Keio University before assuming his current position in 2016. His research focuses on technologies that augment the human body, with particular interests in human augmentation engineering and entertainment engineering. He has received numerous prestigious honors, including TIME magazine’s “Coolest Invention of the Year,” the Young Scientists’ Award from the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), and the MEXT Prize for Science and Technology (Research Category).
