Biography
Ana is a Colombian/Australian visual storyteller passionate about creating unique worlds & characters through animation, comics & illustration. She’s co-founder of Karu-Karu, where she designs, directs and writes stories for projects selected in film festivals and markets in Europe, Latin America, USA and Australia.
Ana also works as a lecturer at the University of South Australia and is co-founder of the Australian Illustration/Animation Community, Squish Squash.
Some of her research interests influencing her work are: the relationship between Self-expression and Personal Identity; the cultural effects of migration on young women; and the inner world of Highly-Sensitive-People/Orchid-Children in unaccepting societies.
