Biography
Simona Perotto is Full Professor of Numerical Analysis at Politecnico di Milano.
With more than 20 years of experience in computational modeling, she is expert in mesh generation, adaptive finite element methods, model reduction. Her research bridges mathematics and real-world applications, from advanced materials and medical hemodynamics to image processing and sustainable vertical farming.
She has authored around 90 scientific papers, supervised 80 Master and 9 PhD students, and led several national and international research projects (including NSF, H2020-MSCA initiatives).
Prof. Perotto is co-founder and president of ADAPTA studio, a Politecnico di Milano spin-off and holder of two international patents.
