Nygel George Thomas received the Master of Technology degree from National Institute of Technology Rourkela in 2019. Since 2023, he has been pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. His research lies at the intersection of computer graphics, computer vision, and machine learning, with a focus on developing advanced radiance field representations for 3D scene reconstruction and rendering, including neural radiance fields (NeRFs) and 3D Gaussian Splatting. He is a recipient of the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship India in both 2024 and 2025.
