Biography
Shiuan Yan is a VR director and immersive artist whose work bridges Eastern philosophy with digital visual storytelling. With a background in 3D animation and a master’s degree in Design from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, she began her career as a 3D artist before transitioning into the XR field. Her creations focus on perception, spatial poetry, and silent transformation—crafting meditative experiences that blend light, time, and memory. Drawing from traditional aesthetics and philosophical inquiry, she builds multi-perspective, nonlinear narratives that invite viewers to encounter inner stillness through immersive presence. Her recent works have received international recognition, including the Interactive Prize at NewImages Festival in France and an award at the Los Angeles Film Awards. Through her studio practice, she continues to explore the invisible threads between technology, emotion, and cultural memory.
