Qiang Fu is a Research Scientist at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). He received his Ph.D. in Optical Engineering from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2012 and his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2007. From 2012 to 2014, he was an Assistant Research Fellow at the Academy of Opto-Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He joined KAUST’s Visual Computing Center in 2014 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (working with Professor Wolfgang Heidrich) and later held the position of Research Associate Professor at ShanghaiTech University from 2016 to early 2017 before returning to KAUST in his current role.
