Dr. Yun Suen Pai is a Lecturer at the University of Auckland's School of Computer Science and director of the Inclusive Reality Lab. He is also the associate director of the Empathic Computing Lab. His research aims to redefine an "Inclusive reality", leveraging the sense of reality to bridge gaps among people and create a prosocial space. His work focuses on understanding cognitive/emotional states, designing assistive tools, and augmenting human abilities. He has received several paper awards (including ACM CHI and SIGGRAPH) and holds patents and grants for his work in assistive/empathic interfaces.
