Jack Brophy is a doctoral student at Keio University’s Graduate School of Media Design, where he is pursuing research in the areas of immersive technologies and communication. He previously earned a Master’s degree in Media Design from Keio University (2024), and a Bachelor of Science in Multimedia from Dublin City University (2017). His research interests center on the intersection of extended reality (XR), digital communications, and cross-cultural interactions, with a particular focus on how emerging technologies can enhance human connection and understanding across cultural boundaries. Before beginning his doctoral studies, he gained professional experience working in journalism and digital communications.
