Soh Masuko, Ph.D. (Engineering), is a Professor at the College of Design Engineering, Shibaura Institute of Technology. After earning his doctorate from the University of Tsukuba in 2008, he led research in computer vision and HCI at the R&D Department of Rakuten Inc. As a Professor at the University of Tsukuba and later Department Manager at Rakuten Mobile Inc., he promoted business planning and innovative user experiences through technology and design. His current research focuses on IoT, AI, and XR applications for social innovation.
