Aziza Kanimetova

Biography
Aziza Kanimetova is an interdisciplinary designer from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Communication from American University of Central Asia, she worked as a graphic designer and illustrator at UNICEF Kyrgyzstan. She also contributed as a digital media intern at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe in Vienna. Aziza is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Media Design at Keio University in Tokyo, Japan. She is a member of the Embodied Media Lab, where her research explores the intersection of cultural heritage, generative AI, interactive spaces, and human–computer interaction. She has published her research progress in human-computer interaction venues such as VRSJ and ACM CHI.
