Joon Huang Chuah received the B.Eng. degree (Hons.) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, the M.Eng. degree from the National University of Singapore, and the M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Cambridge. He is currently a Professor and the President and CEO of Southern University College, Malaysia. He serves as the Chairman Emeritus of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Malaysia Network, a Vice President of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), a Board Member of Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM), and a Secretary-General on the Governing Board of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (AFEO).
