Biography
Xiyang Chen is a liminal designer at the threshold of art and interaction design. Treating information structures and systemic behavior as materials, he uses research-through-design to frame outcomes as emergent events co-authored by cognition, tools, and context. By prototyping interfaces, rules, and feedback ecologies, he examines how meaning is organized and negotiated, advancing an epistemology that is analytic, phenomenological, and computational. His work has shown at CITYA—City as a Medium and The 2nd CAFAM·Future; an iF DESIGN AWARD Finalist, he has exhibited at Chicago Design Space, Cyber Art Exhibition, Colorado Geographic, and is a member of MIT AI Filmmakers.
