Bin Chen is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computing and Information Systems at the University of Melbourne. He was previously a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics and a Visiting Scholar at the University of Cambridge. He received his Ph.D. from the City University of Hong Kong. His research lies at the intersection of computational display, perception, and imaging, integrating hardware and software innovation to advance next-generation visual technologies, including glasses-free 3D displays, VR/AR, perceptually optimized rendering, and AI-driven imaging for richer and more immersive visual experiences.
