Takuya Funatomi is a Professor at the Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University, Japan, since 2025. He was an Associate Professor at the Division of Information Science, Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Japan, from 2015 to 2025, and concurrently a PRESTO Researcher of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) from 2020 to 2025. He was an Assistant Professor at Kyoto University from 2007 to 2015, and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Stanford University in 2014. He received his PhD. in Informatics from Kyoto University in 2007.
