Chandra Sekhar Seelamantula obtained a Ph.D. degree in 2005 from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc.), Department of Electrical Communication Engineering. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Biomedical Imaging Group, EPFL, Switzerland, where he specialized in the areas of Image Processing, Splines, Sparse Signal Processing, and Sampling. In 2009, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, IISc., where he is currently Professor and directs the Spectrum Lab. He is currently the Chair of the IEEE Signal Processing Society Bangalore Chapter, a Senior Area Editor of IEEE Signal Processing Letters and an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Image Processing.
