Keiichi Zempo received the B.Sc. and M.B.A. degrees in physics and the Ph.D. degree in engineering from the University of Tsukuba, in 2013. Following a postdoctoral fellowship with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, he joined the Institute of Systems and Information Engineering, University of Tsukuba, in 2014, and became an Associate Professor, in 2023. His research interests include smart sensing, human–machine interfaces (human augmentation, 3D audio, and XR), service measurement, and telepresence, under the overarching theme of ‘‘eXtending Umwelt and Self: Harmonizing Chimera in Virtual Service Realms Beyond Physics.’’
