Jie Chen is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Hong Kong Baptist University. He received the B.Sc. and M. Eng. degrees both from the School of Optical and Electronic Information, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, and the Ph.D. degree from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2016. His research focuses on computational photography (light fields, high dynamic range imaging, hyperspectral imaging and computational tomography), multimedia signal capture, reconstruction and content generation (3D vision, motion and music), AI for Art-Tech and Humanities.
