Adélaïde Genay

Biography
Adélaïde Genay is a Lecturer in Computer Graphics and Visualisation at the University of Melbourne, where her research focuses on immersive visualisation and human-computer interaction (HCI). She explores how embodied interaction in virtual and augmented reality can support sensemaking and decision-making. Her research sits at the intersection of technical innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration, drawing on partnerships with environmental scientists, psychologists, and design researchers. Before joining the University of Melbourne, she held postdoctoral roles at both Melbourne and Monash Universities, contributing to projects on remote collaboration in mixed reality and immersive ecosystem simulations. She completed her PhD at Inria Bordeaux, France, where she studied avatar perception in augmented reality.
