He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tokyo University of Science and his Master’s in Engineering from Tohoku University, Japan, graduating in 2019. He received his Ph.D. in Engineering from The University of Tokyo in 2022. Following this, he became a Project Assistant Professor at the Research Center of Advanced Science and Technology, The University of Tokyo. In 2023, he joined the Cybernetic Being project, sponsored by Japan’s Moonshot R&D program, as Project Assistant Professor. His primary research interests lie in haptics and inter-subjective experiences. Beyond academia, he founded commissure Inc., a startup specializing in haptic technology.
